Proverbs 28:27 Those who give to the poor will lack nothing…
I cannot say thank you enough to the people who have given to help us so far. I pray that God multiplies your gifts 100-fold! May they be returned to you in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, poured into your lap, for with the measure you use, it will be measured to you! (Luke 6:38) May you never lack a day in your lives because you have given so graciously!
I want you to know that the money you give will be going to help others as well, not just us, and I will be posting regular updates on what is happening with the money you have been so generous with.
So far, I have not actually received any of it in my hands. There is a waiting period of another 3.5 days before I will be allowed to access it.
Once we do get it, we will only be receiving a portion. A small amount, somewhere around 3%, of what you give goes to processing fees. Then, I chose to donate 5% of what is given to me to support the mission of GiveSendGo itself. So, by the time the money comes to me, I will be getting approximately 92% of your donation.
Out of that 92%, I will be tithing 10% of the total gift to my local church. I have also made the decision to search GiveSendGo for other struggling families in a similar position to us to sew 5% into.
For example, if you give $100, GiveSendGo will keep the processing fees and 5%. I will receive approximately $92. Then, I will tithe $10 to my local church and sew $5 into another family in need. In the end, that will leave me with around $77 to pay bills, buy groceries, keep the kids in their activities, etc. until such a time that God helps me get this income thing figured out for us.
More than anything, please keep us in your prayers. James 5:16 tells us that the prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. And Jesus tells us in Matthew 18:19 that “if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” So, please stand with us in prayer for provision, that we have the exact amount we need every Thursday, so we can pay our weekly bills every Friday. Also, pray for wisdom and direction on the exact right thing to do that will work with our family’s schedule and energy and health.
