Pay Day
Fridays are my days to sit down and pay all the bills for the upcoming week. I usually pay whatever is due from the Sunday to Saturday following the Friday on which I am paying. Unfortunately, if I’m short, I have to pay extra days. This was one of the weeks I had to pay extra days because I could not pay all the way through Saturday last week.
Good news: Thanks to everyone who has given, I was able to pay almost every bill, even the almost $400 that was auto-withdrawn from my account for this week. I have removed every auto-withdrawal I possibly could, but some won’t allow me to do so, and some are for things I still use and need to try and build some kind of income (hopefully).
Bad news: I paid every bill EXCEPT groceries. I had to put groceries on a credit card that has now been maxed out because of this purchase. And I only bought some of the groceries. I will be needing more as this week progresses.
Next week on the 29th, I will be paying all of my October 1st through 7th bills. By that day, I will need my full rent of $1900 for October, Olive’s dance class is auto-withdrawn for $125 (a contract), $560 car payment, pest control for $85 (a contract), and on October 6th (which I do set aside on the 29th to make sure it is covered) another auto-withdraw for almost $400. Then, I have several credit cards that are due during that week as well, of which I would really like to pay at least the minimum payments so that I don’t come out of this with completely ruined credit that I have to build up all over again after struggling to build it up for the last 2 years. The first week of the month is one of the most difficult.
I also need funds for getting the tires fixed on my car (the light is on that says the tire pressure is low). I can air them up, but that’s temporary. And, the car is pretty far past due for an oil change.
Our cell phone bill is behind, having only paid half. My ex is supposed to pay the other half, but he can’t. Also, I just learned that our car insurance is officially behind as well. I’d like to get my own insurance because my ex’s 2 cars are on the one we have now, and I cannot pay those. But, I can’t get new insurance without having money to pay the first payment, so I need enough to pay the current full insurance for my and my ex’s cars (which I don’t want) or I need enough to get new insurance on my own. Since my car is still being financed, I have to have full coverage, which is expensive. So far, the cheapest I’ve found is around $200ish per month.
While I realize I’m subjecting myself to possible judgment and scrutiny by putting all of my bills out there for everyone to see, I want you all to know that I really respect and honor your gifts, and I believe you have the right to know what is happening with them.
You are BLESSINGS, and I have received gifts from the most unexpected people, and it has absolutely melted my heart. I deeply love you all and cannot thank you enough!
May what you have given be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, and poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. (Luke 6:38)
